Because the person who was using it got better and doesn't need it anymore.
This woman is obviously a pro: the sort of shoot-from-the-hip, "best case" rationale that comes with years of experience.
Ingenious.
I also want this cause it need only run on batteries.

Kay, jerks,
It's that time of year. Here is a list of my utterly improbable wants and desires. Moreso than ever before, they are technological in derivation.
And none too cheap.
Still; man can dream.
So. take note. If anyone's got any hot leads (chiefly the Macbook) let me know. may have some holiday dough to throw about..

To attend Werner Herzog's "batshit crazy" filmmakers seminar
(Likely, this is just as good)
Maybe not looking like it's going to put me in "The Matrix",
but a RedCam would be nice.
For the money/what I need, the Nikon D5000 is the ideal DSLR at this time.
While we're at it, going to need this. No more hacked/cracked versions that won't allow outputting scratch to external drives. Time to get serious...

With all the media I've been storing, it's become begrudgingly clear that a new system is needed. That, and Scott Willis is willing to practically GIVE AWAY his Avid system he bought in college. I need something with substantial kick if I'm editing my as-of-yet fictional media

Whence last I heard, Lucasfilm finally bent to the will of any relevant Star Wars fan and has released the original versions of Episode 4-6 on DVD.
Which is all we really want.
